Quotes and prices
- The prices on this website are typical starting prices and include GST. They’re a guide, not a quote.
- Before we start any work, we give you a fixed price in writing for the job we’ve described. That’s the price you pay for that work.
- If we find something that changes the job, like a cracked pipe inside a wall, we stop and give you a new price before going any further. We never do extra work without your OK.
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days.
- There’s no call-out fee between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Outside those hours there’s a $95 after-hours fee, and we’ll tell you about it before we come out.
Arrival windows and the late credit
- When you book a job, we give you a two-hour arrival window and text you when we’re on the way.
- If we arrive after the window closes, we take $50 off that job’s final bill. It comes off the bill rather than being paid in cash, and it applies once per job.
- It doesn’t apply to emergency call-outs, where we give you an estimated arrival time instead. It also doesn’t apply if the visit is moved at your request, or if we can’t get into the property at the booked time.
Your part
- Give us safe access to the work area, and tell us about anything we should know first, such as pets, damaged wiring, or building materials that might contain asbestos.
- Tell us where your water and gas meters are, if you know.
- If we find something unsafe, we’ll stop and talk through the next steps with you before going on.
Payment
- Payment is due when the job is finished, by card or bank transfer.
- You can pay an invoice online by card from the “Pay your bill” section of this website. Online payments are processed by Stripe, and your receipt is emailed to you.
- For hot water systems and larger jobs, we may ask for a deposit to cover parts. Your quote will say if we do.
Cancelling or moving a booking
- There’s no charge to cancel or move a booking if you tell us before we set out.
- If you cancel an after-hours call-out after we’ve set out, the $95 after-hours fee still applies.
- If we need to move your booking, we’ll tell you as early as we can and offer the next available time.
